-Posted by: Matita
Spoilers for "Chuck" season two, episode five coming up just as soon as I make a decision between some tasty choices... Chuck saves the world. Chuck Bartowski saves the world. Whoa.
What could have been a very cheesey storyline -- particularly since this seemed the most budget-conscious episode of the season, with the bulk of the action taking place inside the Buy More -- ... Read More ...

Stunts in gowns, heels test 'Chuck' actress
-Posted by: Quivi
As soon as Yvonne Strahovski, the actress who plays Sarah Walker on the NBC series "Chuck,” walks onto the show's set on the Warner Bros. lot, every eye is focused on her left wrist.
Strahovski is sporting a huge bandage. It covers most of her hand, her wrist and part of her forearm.
Production on the second season of the spy series has been at full tilt. And in the show, Strahovski plays a spy who has to go undercover to protect Chuck (Zachary Levi), a member of the Nerd Herd at a massive electronics Buy More store. Chuck has had volumes of government secrets implanted in his head.
"This is just a pulled muscle in my wrist. It's fine,” Strahovski says. When pushed about what action sequence caused the injury, Strahovski smiles and adds, "It is from reaching into my handbag at an awkward angle.” ... Read More ...

'Chuck' star: I've always felt like a nerd
-Posted by: Quivi
Zachary Levi is embracing his inner nerd.
"I'm more Chuck than I'm not Chuck," says Levi on the set of "Chuck," in which he plays a computer geek-turned-clueless secret agent. "Pretty much my whole life, actually, I've felt like a nerd. Growing up I was always the best friend to the girls, never the boyfriend."
The tall, dark-haired actor admits to a fondness for Chuck's geek-chic couture -- cheap pants and shirt, complete with a pocket protector that he wears for his day job as a "Nerd Herd" technician in a Buy More Electronics store. ... Read More ...

Yvonne Interview
-Posted by: Quivi
Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski We talk to the actress about her role in NBC's Chuck, one of our favorite new fall series.
The name Yvonne Strahovski might not be familiar yet to US audiences, but you're probably seeing her face pop up all over, along with her co-star Zachary Levi, in ads for NBC's new fall series Chuck. Levi plays the title character, a semi-directionless guy working at the Best Buy-like "Buy More" store. Chuck becomes immersed in a world of spies and action after he receives a very fateful email from his old college roommate. We've been mentioning this show a lot here at IGN TV since May, and it's one of our favorites among the new fall series, doing a great job mixing action, comedy, and a fair share of geekiness into one highly appealing program.
Strahovski plays Sarah Walker, a CIA agent who is one of two rivals -- the other played by Firefly's Adam Baldwin -- to track down Chuck and find out what exactly he knows and how the information can be used. Soon Chuck is in the midst of the kind of insane situations he'd only played in his videogames before, and Sarah, to maintain her cover when not on a mission, is living a mundane life, and eventually forced to take a rather demeaning job for someone with her skills (hint: hot dogs are involved). ... Which new fall series have you buzzing?
-Posted by: Quivi
This just in: America is buzzing about ABC's forthcoming sitcom Cavemen, based on a series of Geico commercials. While I find this information borderline unbelievable, a poll of 3,100 people ages 13-64 says otherwise; Cavemen ranked No. 1 among buzzed-about new series, followed by NBC's Bionic Woman, CBS' Kid Nation, and ABC's Pushing Daisies. ... Chuck Geeks Out at Comic-Con
-Posted by: Quivi
The Comic-Con crowd shows a lot of love for the great new action-comedy spy series.
Okay, sure, Chuck is about a geeky guy who makes references to Prince's "Batdance" and it features Firefly star Adam Baldwin in a supporting role, so the Comic-Con audience was going to give it a shot. But still, it's fair to say that the first public screening of the pilot to the show went over huge. The packed room laughed at all the jokes, cheered the action sequences, "woo"d the beautiful Yvonne Strezechowski in her underwear, and yes, loudly let their appreciation be known the moment Baldwin appeared on screen. ... Chuck is Ready for Action
-Posted by: Quivi
Wii accidents and Call of Duty stories from the cast and creators of the new action-comedy from the producer of The O.C.
This week at the TCA (Television Critics Association) Press Tour, we got to talk to the cast and creators of NBC's new comedic action Chuck. The pilot to Chuck has been a favorite among the IGN TV staff, with its very funny look at an average guy (Zachary Levi) who finds himself in the midst of all sorts of spies and bad guys, after secret government files are encoded into his brain.
The characters in Chuck work at a Best Buy like store, and executive producer Josh Schwartz (The O.C.) said, "I think the big-box culture is very much a way that we live our lives right now. And in trying to figure out what was sort of the best home for a character like Chuck, the Nerd Herd -- obviously inspired by such things as the Geek Squad -- felt like a really natural environment for him. I also liked that even in the uniforms that the Nerd Herd guys have to wear, they kind of resemble G-men from 1950s FBI movies. ... Read More ...
